Reviewing the Curriculum
The Transdisciplinary Themes in IB provide the “umbrella” subject, or theme, under which teachers create specific lines of inquiry they will pursue with students. The Grade Teams also collaborate to create one Central Idea for each Transdisciplinary Theme, and together with the Lines of Inquiry, teachers use these as guides when they create their lessons of instruction.

"An inquiry into the natural world and its laws, the interaction between the natural world (physical and biological) and the human societies; how humans use their understanding of scientific principles; the impact of scientific and technological advances on society and the environment."
